Abstract

We report defective Cu-rich CuFe2O4nanofibers as an efficient catalyst for reducing nitrate, which achieves an NH3yield of 9.21 mg h−1mgcat.−1and a Faradaic efficiency of 91.08% in 0.1 M PBS and 0.1 M NO3−and exhibits excellent stability. The reaction mechanism is revealed by theoretical calculations.
