Abstract

•Hybrid nanofluid flow upon a convectively-warmed moving wedge is studied.•For first time, mass-based hybrid nanofluid model is applied for entropy generation analysis.•Spherical and non-spherical (brick, cylinder, platelet…) shapes of nanoparticles considered.•Results display an excellent agreement with former existing reports.•Reliable treatment of mass-based model for entropy analysis is a substantial achievement.
