Beitrag zur hydrochemischen Untersuchung der Donau bei Vinca, km 1144, unweit Beograd

Daily analyses have shown that the dry residue and sodium and potassium decrease in concentration in the Danube near Belgrade when the level is high. The greater concentration when flow is less is associated with the greater volume of groundwater under these conditions. The concentration of potassium never reaches the level to be expected if the river were seriously polluted by Belgrade.
