Abstract

Synchrotron x-ray measurements were done on the charge ordered state of La1-xSrxMnO3(x?0.12). In accordance with previous neutron diffraction study, super-lattice reflections which double the b-axis were observed. From the extinction rule of the super-lattice reflections, layer-type charge ordering pattern is plausible. Temperature dependence of the super-lattice peaks might indicate that a certain kind of competition exists in this system.
