Perioperative Hepatic Evaluation

Hepatic dysfunction can cause a wide variety of alterations in physiologic homeostasis. The interaction of liver disease with perioperative surgical and anesthetic management must be considered by the oral and maxillofacial surgeon in this growing patient population.
