Abstract

The hydrogenation of CO<subscript>2</subscript> to CH<subscript>4</subscript> can realize the utilization of CO<subscript>2</subscript>, which has an important implications to both the energy and environment. As a result of the low catalytic activity of the supported Ni/SiO<subscript>2</subscript> catalyst, the ZrO<subscript>2</subscript> is added to improve its catalytic performance by the impregnation method. The experimental results show that ZrO<subscript>2</subscript> is an effective promoter to enhance the low-temperature catalytic activity of Ni/SiO<subscript>2</subscript> catalyst.
