Abstract

(Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand. 2019;98:958–966)Some care providers have advocated for induction of labor for all pregnancies once they reach full-term, to avoid an elevated risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Critics assert that induction is commonly associated with an increased risk of cesarean delivery, although previous trials do not support this argument. Saccone and colleagues conducted this study to examine the effects of labor induction in women with full-term singleton gestations with no complications.
