Flexible Contact Layer Between Cathode and Interconnect of SOFC

The contact resistance between the cathodes and interconnects constitutes a significant part of the overall resistance in an SOFC stack. In order to enhance the conductibility between the cathode and interconnect, a new stack configuration of SOFC is proposed, with flexible contact layers of strontium-doped lanthanum manganite inserted to between the cathodes and interconnects as separated components. The conduct material is in fabric structure prepared from template via wet-chemical method. The preparation process and performance of the conduct material are described.
