Abstract

The crystal and molecular structure of a clip-shaped molecule is described. The structure was solved by vector search methods and refined by least squares methods to R1= 0.0769 [I> 2σ(I)]. Crystal data: C40H36N4O6.2CCl3H, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a= 12.567(1), b= 19.171(1), c= 17.431(1)Å β = 91.676(6)°, V= 4197.7(5)Å3, Z= 4.
