Abstract

Two hundred survey questionnaires concerning level of agreement with 20 criteria of rehabilitation counselor performance were mailed to 200 randomly selected NRCA members. Analysis of 69 (34.5%) usable returns indicated criteria related to the counselor's ability to carry out the general work role rllquirements were regarded as most important. Such criteria as number of closures, academic preparation, involvement in continuing education, and membership in professional organizations were among those considered less important.
