Abstract

Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Epidemiological studies suggest that LVH may be influenced by genetic factors. However, the evidence associating individual genes with left ventricular (LV) mass is inconsistent and contradictory.
