Abstract

We have developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays directed against 3 tissue factor (TF) isoforms (unphosphorylated and Ser253- and Ser258-phosphorylated), and report, for the first time, their identification in the urine of healthy individuals and patients with bladder cancer in a preliminary study. Significant elevation of unphosphorylated TF and TF-pSer258 in the cohort with bladder cancer indicates their utility as a potential biomarker to be taken forward to a larger prospective study.
