Abstract

Narrow complex tachycardias are a common clinical problem and can be divided into those in which the arrythmic circuit is located exclusively in the atrium and those that involve the atrioventricular (AV) node or and accessory pathway. There have been recent advances in the nonpharmacologic treatments of supraventricular tachycardias, most notably in surgery and radiofrequency percutaneous catheter ablation for AV nodal reentry, AV reciprocating tachycardia, atrial flutter, and atrial tachycardias.
