Silica-scaled chrysophytes from Cat Tien National Park (Dong Nai Province, Vietnam)

The present paper focuses on flora of silica-scaled chrysophytes from Cat Tien National Park (Vietnam). The use of electron microscopy technique allowed for the discovery of 42 taxa found in reservoirs, lakes, bogs and temporary ponds in the forest. Thirty-six taxa belong to the genusMallomonas, among them 29 species and seven infraspecific taxa. The others are species of generaSynura(4),Spiniferomonas(1) andChrysosphaerella(1). Nineteen taxa are reported for the first time in Vietnam.
