Abstract: Endovascular repair of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms is an evolving technique. Data from nonrandomized series suggest that it may be beneficial in selected patients. In the next few years, a number of large randomized clinical trials will clarify its role. Issues regarding anatomical suitability, techniques, perioperative care, and service provision need to be addressed in order to optimize outcomes.
