Abstract
- A Production Planning and Control (PPC) system for soft drink production is developed as a distributed system to cope with the uncertain economic environment, diversified customers needs and plant disturbances. The paper describes a novel approach for design a small intelligent PPC system based on holonic concepts and using the methodology of Generalized Nets (GNs). The proposed approach is very suitable for planning and control of hybrid production systems and is applied using the software tool “GNET” with DDE connection to the MS - Office.
