Abstract

A comparative study has been made of the use of three procedures for plate-response calibration and general evaluation of low-alloy steel spectrograms-(a) based on the direct relation of densitometer readings to log-relative intensity, (b) using the Kaiser-Seidel-transformation (P-value) technique for straightening the plate-response curve, (c) by means of the —f(τ) transmittance table of J.W. Anderson.
