Le vibrateur CH2, un auxiliaire approprieàl'étude structurale d'alcanes substitués par des groupements polaires

The vibrational spectra of some halogenated and hydroxylated derivatives of ethane have been investigated between 1400–1500 cm−1. A correlation between the molecular structure and the frequency of the scissoring mode of the methylene groups δ (CH2) is proposed for the purpose of conformational studies.
