Abstract

ABSTRACTIsogenic bar-coded strains of Aspergillus fumigatuscarrying the G54W or M220K mutation in Cyp51A were constructed. In vitro, the growth and conidiation capacities of the mutants were similar to those of the parental strain. Competition studies in the absence of azoles showed that there was no adverse fitness cost for the azole-resistant A. fumigatusstrains in vitroor in vivocompared to the parental strain.
