Fluorescence of crystalline tetracene between 4.2 and 300 K

Fluorescence spectra of single and polycrystalline tetracene have been recorded in the temperature range 4.2 to 300 K. They exhibit a 0-0 emission band centered at 18715 ± 50 cm-1independent from temperature and modification. The results are discussed in relevance to absorption data indicating a phase transition.
