Abstract

Integrated control against Heliothis</it> spp. and other cotton pests was attempted in a large-scale field test in 1967 near Santa Rosa, Texas. The results obtained when resistant strains of cotton were planted and nuclear polyhedral virus (Viron/H® and Biotrol VTN®) was applied for control of the boll worm, Heliothis zea</it> (Boddie), and the tobacco bud worm, H. virescens</it> (F.), compared favorably with those obtained in adjacent fields treated with methyl parathion or with methyl parathion in combination with ethyl parathion.
