Simultaneous Dual-Wavelength Operation of ?-BaTeMo2O9 Raman Laser at 1320 and 1500 nm

Abstract

The second and third Stokes simultaneous dual-wavelength laser operation at 1320 and 1500 nm based on b-BaTeMo2O9 (b-BTM) crystal was demonstrated. Using an external resonator with a plane-plane configuration, the laser possessed a threshold of 40 MW/cm2 at 1064 nm. Maximum output energies of 10.86 mJ (second Stokes) and 9.06 mJ (third Stokes) were obtained at a pump energy of 60 mJ using an output mirror with a transmittance of 44% at 1320 nm. The optical conversion efficiencies from the pump laser to the second and third Stokes lasers were about 18.1 and 15.1%, respectively.
