Abstract
- This study investigated the ability of listeners to identify the sex of esophageal talkers on the basis of voice recordings. Recognition data are provided for 15 female and 18 male esophageal talkers. In general, the results support the hypothesis that naive listeners can reliably and accurately identify the sex of esophageal talkers from voice samples.
