Abstract

• Postoperative CSF otorrhea has been managed successfully by controlled CSF drainage using an intrathecal catheter system. Our patient experienced tension pneumocephalus as a result of this treatment modality. The diagnosis of this potentially lethal complication is discussed to stress the need for early recognition and prompt treatment.(Arch Otolaryngol 1981;107:579-580)
