Abstract
- Two patients with the extremely rare phenomenon of chronic suppuration in the skin lesions of pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) are reported, and the literature briefly reviewed. Granuloma formation is viewed as part of the PXE process, but why it should occur in some patients and not in others is not clear.
