Abstract
- Native Australian and introduced species of animals are adapted to severe sodium deficiency. Effects of such a deficiency are aggravated by pregnancy and lactation, and it has been shown that mechanisms controlling sodium homeostasis in wild rabbits are subject to profound stress.
