Abstract
- THE iron hydrous layer silicate cronstedtite is unique in having ferric iron substituted for silicon in positions of tetrahedral co-ordination. Previous investigations have been made by Gossner, and Hendricks1, who described its crystallography as a kaolin-type structure with an orthorhombic three-layer unit cell.
