Triazinoindoletriazine derivatives (VII) and triazinopyrimidine derivatives (X) are synthesized via cyclization of protected isatin (I) with thiosemicarbazide (II) and nucleophilic substitution of intermediates (V) and (IX) with amines, e.g. (VI).
