Abstract

By using a<superscript>40</superscript>Ca beam of the UNILAC accelerator the new isotopes<superscript>94</superscript>Ag and<superscript>95</superscript>Ag were produced through<superscript>58</superscript>Ni(<superscript>40</superscript>Ca,p3n) and<superscript>58</superscript>Ni(<superscript>40</superscript>Ca,p2n) reactions, respectively, and identified by detectingß-delayed protons from mass-separated sources.<superscript>94</superscript>Ag represents the heaviest N=Z nucleus with known decay properties. Theß-decay half-lives of<superscript>94</superscript>Ag and<superscript>95</superscript>Ag were determined to be 0.42±0.05 s and 2.0±0.1 s, respectively. The measuredß-decay properties are compared with model predictions.
