Abstract

No change in survival of two Chinese hamster cell lines was found when any of the following inhibitors were added in various concentrations to the culture medium after exposure to ultra-violet light: acriflavine, caffeine, theophylline, chloramphenicol, cycloheximide, actinomycin D and hydroxyurea. Acridine orange, puromycin and reduced temperature were tested with one of the cell-lines and were without effect.
