Prevalence of cutaneous mast cell sarcoma in dogs in Croatia.

The article presents a study to compile and present data on canine mast cell sarcomas (MCSs) diagnosed in Croatia in the 2008-2012 period, and to compare these data with the literature. Topics discussed include potential biological behavior of MCSs in dogs, occurrence of canine mast cell tumors in the skin and subcutis, and localization of MCSs in the thorax, the abdomen, and the head. Other topic discussed include MCSs in different breeds of dogs such as Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, and Pugs.
