Abstract
- The article presents literary criticism of the book "To the End of the Land" by David Grossman. Particular focus is given to the roles of the psychoanalytic concept of abjection and the Hebrew idea of temimut (uprightness) as developed by philosophers Julia Kristeva and Emmanual Lévinas, respectively, in the book. Topics discussed include Grossman's characterization of the Arab-Israeli conflict, survival, and hospitality.
