Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF) Concentrations in Seminal Plasma of Crossbred Bulls Producing Good and Poor Ejaculates.

The article discusses a study that estimated concentrations of glial cell line derived neutrophic factor (GDNF) in the seminal plasma of Karan Fries crossbred bulls that produce poor and good ejaculates. Topics covered include categorization of bulls as to ejaculate rejection rate (ERR) then evaluated activity, viability, motility and sperm concentration using the Haemocytometer method. Results showed that deficient secretion of GDNF by Sertoli cells suggests impaired quality of semen.
