Abstract
- The article describes the case of a 78-year-old man with a history of small-cell lung cancer who developed metastatic carcinoma to the retina. A review of the case and systematic literature review show that retinal metastases can occasionally be misinterpreted as infectious retinitis. It concluded that metastatic carcinoma to the retina should be considered in patients who are suspected of having infectious retinopathy and do not respond to antimicrobial therapies.
