Abstract

The article examines the use of HT22 murine hippocampal cells in understanding the alteration in the oxidative stress levels and its effect in neuronal cell fate. It states the reduce of HT22 cell viability with exposure to high levels of oxidative stress in contrast with the low levels of oxidative stress promoted cell survival. Also mentioned are the several changes in neurological environments including exposure to radiation, inflammation and infection.
