Academicism versus innovation: challenges for the Brazilian science and technology system.

In this article, the author contributes her views along with the views of Reinaldo Guimarães on the issue of educational changes in the graduate system of the Brazil. She stresses on the need of changes in the educational policies related to science and technology for health care, importance of academic erudition for improving the science & technology in the research and importance of modernization for the university institutions in order to undergo contemporary changes in the system.
