Abstract

The article provides information on a study which characterized the ecology of Capillaria hepatica, which is a parasitic nematode that infects the liver of rats," in wild Norway rats in Vancouver, British Columbia. Topics covered include a description of the prevalence of C. hepatic among Norway rats, the significant variation in prevalence among city blocks and the results of the generalized linear mixed model performed to control for clustering by block.
