Abstract

The article focuses on the issues arise in relation to witnesses and victims of hate crime and response of criminal justice system (CJS) to a perceived deterioration in a witness's memory. It discusses institutional re-victimisation or institutional demands for recollection of victim's painful experiences to CJS officials of during the pre-trial and trial processes. Other topics include Crown Prosecution Service report on a racist hate crime, and the reliability of witness testimony.
