Abstract

The article discusses some techniques for hunting turkeys in agricultural fields. It stresses to avoid direct sunlight as it highlights any area showing around one's eyes or the glare of eyeglasses. It suggests using the lay of the land to bring the gobbler within 40 yards, and setting a pop-up blind few days before hunting. National Wild Turkey Federation biologist Joel Pederson's explanation on how often turkeys visit in these fields is also outlined.
