Abstract

The article discusses a study which analyzed in silico phylogenetic and virulence gene profile of avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) genome sequences. Topics highlighted include the zoonotic risk attributed to APEC trains, phylogenetic maximum likelihood tree, multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) and allele sequences of housekeeping genes. Also mentioned are Pathogenic islands (PAIs) and Gene Cluster 3.0 software.
