Abstract

The article focuses on the techniques practiced by John Yonemoto to grow mango during winter in Sapporo, Japan. It mentions that Yonemoto's technique is based on the manipulation of the mango tree's root system, their pruning, and solar radiation and temperature. It also discusses the proliferation of the 'Irwin' variety of mango in the country as it is preferred by most Japanese because it is juicy, fresh and can be fully riped.
