Abstract: The article discusses a study on a model test of the launch of the Liwan 3-1 Mega Jacket in Shanghai Jiao Tong University's State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering. Topics addressed include elements of the launching system such as the launch barge and jacket, viscous drag effect, and ballast condition. Also mentioned are different simulation tests conducted for repeatability of the model tests and parameter sensitivity analyses.
