Abstract

The article discusses a study of the interaction of divalent cation tolerance protein (DCTP) and the intracellular domain of beta-site amyloid precursor protein-cleaving enzyme (APPCE) 1 and their roles in the development of Alzheimer's disease. The researchers found an association between DCTP and endogenous beta-site APPCE 1 in the neuroblastoma cell line N2a using the yeast two-hybrid system. They also observed that DCTP reduces the processing of APP.
