Abstract

The article offers information on species Cucullanid nematodes found in the silver mullet that live in the waters of Senegal. The study was performed by 109 silver mullet gathered from the Saloum estuary in Senegal, where the parasites were detected from the intestines through microscopy. Results revealed that 13 of the 109 silver mullet were infected by 22 nematodes representing the new species Cucullanus djilorensis.
