Abstract
- The article discusses the impact of the decision of Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych to suspend its Association Agreement with the European Union (EU) in November 2013 on its relations with Russia and the EU. The daunting pressure of the Russian economic sanctions has been considered as the reason behind the dramatic foreign policy turn-around of Ukraine. The imitation of the government of Ukraine with the strategies the Russian government developed for dealing with protests is also tackled.
