Abstract
- The article reflects on the novel "The Rose of Wissahikon," by George Lippard. The novel was first published in "Saturday Courier" on July 4, 1847. It notes that the topic of this novel is suited to capture the patriotic spirit of the American Independence Day. The author states that the novel also revive Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's heritage of nationalism.
