Abstract
- The article details a study on the association of amino acid substitutions in GyrA and ParC with fluoroquinolone resistance in Mycoplasma bovis (M. bovis) isolates from dairy cattle in Japan. The study found that laboratory-derived fluoroquinolone-resistant mutants selected from 2 isolates had an amino acid substitution in ParC as fluoroquinolone-resistant isolates. The importance of a concurrent amino acid substitution in Parc in fluoroquinolone resistance in M. bovis isolates is mentioned.
