Abstract

The article presents a study which examined the sensitivity of human rotavirus rapid antigen detection (RAD) kits, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PRC) and next-generation deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequencing (NGS) in detecting bovine group A rotavirus (RVA). It says that NGS using thirteen RT-PCR-negative fecal samples revealed that all samples yielded RVA reads while the Dipstick 'Eiken' Rota (Dipstick) showed the highest sensitivity among the RAD kits.
