Abstract
- The article reports on research which used graph theory and interregional correlations of cortical and subcortical volumes to investigate cortical subcortical structural network properties in subjects with later-life depression (LLD) compared with healthy comparison subjects. Researchers evaluated 73 healthy older subjects and 53 subjects with LDD. They found that cortical-subcortical network properties are altered in LLD and may reflect the underlying neuroanatomical vulnerabilities of the disorder.
