Abstract

The article discusses a study examining the effect of heat stress on ocular blood flow. It mentions that measurement of ocular blood flow, end-tidal carbon dioxide and blood pressure was done under two conditions of water circulation for different subjects wearing water-perfused tube-lined suits. It concludes that passive heat stress reduces the blood flow and Conductance index in the retinal and choroidal vessels, but arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide remains unchanged.
